Trekking trail from Jipti to Lakanpur. The person in the blue jacket is our Guide Prakash, person in the forground is Sundar our porter. We trekked about 15 to 20 km. per day for a total of 200 km in 10 days. When I couldn't walk I took the pony seen in the background.

The river gorge below is formed by the River Kali.

On the way to Nabhidang to see Om Parvat

The last Indian Border Post of Nabhidang. On the other side of the mountians is Tibet-China. This the popular Indian pilgrim route to Kailash.

The snow formaton is like the Hindu symbol "OM". Hence this peak is called OM Parvat. Most of the time this can be seen only in the mornings for a couple of hours. This was shot at 5:30 AM
